Our Story

Over 25 years ago, John Lamar Jenkins International began as a simple vision with a profound mission: to inspire change and empower individuals to reach their highest potential. It all started when John Lamar Jenkins, driven by a passion for personal growth and human rights advocacy, noticed a gap in the support and development available to aspiring leaders, educators, and professionals.

The journey began with small, intimate coaching sessions focused on helping people find their inner strength, overcome obstacles, and unlock their true potential. John’s natural ability to connect with others and his deep commitment to making a positive impact quickly gained momentum. What started as one-on-one coaching soon expanded into speaking engagements and training programs, reaching larger audiences eager to transform their lives and organizations.

As demand grew, John Lamar Jenkins International was formally established, laying the foundation for what would become a global platform for change. The launch of the "NurtureOne" program marked a turning point, reaching thousands of educators and counselors in over fifteen counties and solidifying our reputation as a leader in holistic development. Meet The Team

Nicole Preston-Owens

Nicole Preston-Jenkins is a dynamic professional whose career path reflects both depth and versatility, with a strong foundation in public service and a successful transition into the financial services sector. Nicole began her journey with the State of California, where she dedicated over 20 years to roles including Program Technician II and positions in Personnel and Human Resources. This experience fortified her expertise in public administration, preparing her for a career pivot into the financial industry.

Driven by a commitment to serve and uplift others, Nicole embraced her new role as a Personal Licensed Financial Analyst, focusing on supporting individuals who may lack financial knowledge or resources. Her dedication to helping the undereducated and economically disadvantaged shines through in her relentless volunteer work and dedication to humanitarian efforts.

Recently, Ms. Preston-Jenkins has accepted the position of Director of the Growing Minds Mentoring Center. This inspiring organization serves as a vibrant and safe haven where children can explore life’s possibilities, ignite their dreams, and participate in hands-on educational experiences. The center is dedicated to fostering a nurturing community that supports each child’s journey of discovery, learning, and growth.
